Partnering for PPE

East Carolina University and Eastern Area Health Education Center are partnering on a project to promote the proper use of masks and other personal protective equipment among students and all community members of eastern North Carolina and beyond during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Background

The General Assembly enacted, and the Governor signed House Bill 1043, the 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Act (Session Law 2020-4). This Act contains appropriations and special provisions that affect all State agencies. In accordance with the 2020 COVID-19 Recovery Act, appropriations have been approved for East Carolina University to create trainings, offer testing opportunities, and purchase PPE supplies for students across disciplines to support safe clinical training and community interactions.
