Results-Based Accountability™
The Elizabeth City Office of Eastern AHEC leads the NC AHEC statewide project for Results-Based Accountability™ (RBA) training in partnership with the NCDHHS Division of Public Health (DPH). The RBA framework provides a disciplined approach for communities to improve the lives of children, families, and the community as a whole. RBA is used by agencies to improve the effectiveness of their programs. Since 2021, over 850 health professionals and their partners have completed an introductory course in RBA. Courses are offered via live webinars, a blend of online self-paced learning and live webinar, and in person options.
We work with local health departments, hospitals/health systems, Healthy People Healthy Carolinas, Council of Governments, counties, and coalitions providing coaching and technical assistance in applying RBA concepts. Clear Impact Scorecard helps these agencies and organizations tell the story of how their communities are better off from the work they do. Clear Impact Scorecard helps track the overall collective impact of their work and shows how their programs are helping to improve the wicked health problems identified in the NC State Health Improvement Plan. The Scorecard How to Guide was developed to outline technical aspects of the software and serve as a resource for those implementing and using the Clear Impact Scorecard. It is available at https://schs.dph.ncdhhs.gov/units/ldas/docs/ScorecardHowToGuide-August2024.pdf.
